*Ed Sloan began coaching
at BCS in 1997. The team had five boys and four girls. Junior Kristy
Fournier placed 3rd at state in 1997. She recruited her
younger sister Carrie and her friends to form a team for her senior year.
They placed 7th at state that year and the Vikings have found
themselves in Pasco on the first Saturday of November ever since.
The
2004 BCS HS Harriers totaled 28 athletes and was the largest in school
history. Combining with the 18 in junior high they formed the largest
combined team in the Emerald City League this fall. With 46 athletes,
five coaches, and many great supporters… the question has to be asked, how
BIG will the family be next year? We jumped from 28 to 46 this year… do
we dare ask for a second bus? Stay tuned.)
